Balwaar brings to you handwoven and handmade products from the vibrant villages of Punjab.
We are working on the revival of the 'Punjab Bridal Duree' and handspun 'Khes', handloom fabric & fine embroidery.
These are traditionally part of a bride's trousseau and woven by the women of the family.
We collect and collate these designs and train rural women to weave them in standard sizes and colourfast yarns in a bid to make them marketable.
In this way we hope to give these women financial independence, social relevance, as well as keep alive a beautiful craft.
